We are delighted to invite you to join us for a rare opportunity to hear from Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the web, who was recently voted the most important technology innovator of the last century.
Tim will discuss the exciting new field of web science which he is pioneering at MIT, in partnership with colleagues at Southampton University, which seeks to understand the impact the web is having on our society and economy. He will then be joined by Andy Duncan the Chief Executive of Channel 4 and Charlie Leadbeater the author of 'We-think: The Power of Mass Creativity' for a lively discussion around how governments, business and academia can safeguard the future of the web as an open platform for information exchange and collaboration.
*Due to the popularity of this event we will need to use an overflow facility once the main conference room is full
